These Terms govern your use of rootmc.net and participation in RootMC governance features (citizen proposals, weekly bills, amendments, and Council votes). By submitting, amending, or voting you agree to these Terms and the RootMC Constitution.
1. Eligibility & verification
- Governance actions require a linked Minecraft account and linked Discord account verified through rootmc.net/verify.
- Your linked Discord identity is used as online verification for submissions and votes.
- Voting power is calculated per the Constitution (playtime × listing vote points).
2. Governance participation
- Proposals must be good-faith, on-topic, and categorized correctly (constitution, governance, plugin, or metric).
- Weekly bills compile pending proposals published at least 3 days before Sunday compile; amendments are accepted during the published amendment window only.
- Weighted votes are recorded per linked account; one vote per poll per voter (you may change your vote while the poll is open).
- Passing votes authorize staff to implement changes within server and platform constraints — not every proposal can be implemented verbatim.
3. Conduct
- No harassment, spam, vote manipulation, or impersonation.
- Do not submit content that violates Minecraft/Mojang terms, Discord Terms, or applicable law.
- Staff may retract abusive proposals, close votes, or remove participation privileges for violations.
4. Discord & discussion
Discord channels and threads may announce new proposals and bills with links back to this site. Official text, amendment forms, and vote tallies on rootmc.net are authoritative; Discord is for discussion and notifications.
5. Privacy
Governance records store your Minecraft username, Discord user id, vote choice, and calculated vote weight. Public pages show proposal content and aggregated vote percentages — not private account emails.
6. Changes
We may update these Terms. The version identifier on this page must be accepted again after material changes before you submit, amend, or vote.
7. Disclaimer
RootMC is a community Minecraft server operated as-is. Governance outcomes are community decisions; the service may change, pause, or discontinue features without liability beyond what applicable law requires.
