Vote requirements

Who can vote, how weight is calculated, and what each poll type needs to pass. Tallies use governance % — not one player = one vote.

Eligibility (propose vs vote)

  • Propose — any linked player via in-game /proposal (64 G). Vote Shards not required.
  • Vote — Vote Shards in /ec + Terms + Discord sign-in
  • Discuss — any verified (linked) player in the proposal thread
  • Sign in on the site with Discord to cast votes

Your vote weight

  • raw = Vote Shard power in /ec × vote multiplier (Pro ×2 / Lifetime ×3 / both ×5)
  • share = your raw ÷ all eligible raw → % of 100%
  • EC shards mint +1 per listing vote on that server; merge with /voteshard merge
  • Playtime and net worth do not affect Council weight

Weekly bill vote

  • Proposal published ≥ 3 days before Sunday compile
  • 48h amendment window after bill posts
  • Council vote runs 7 days — For / Against / Abstain
  • Leading option needs >50% of cast weighted votes

Treasury grant vote

  • Any eligible linked player may request 1–10,000 G from reserve
  • Proposer cannot vote on their own grant
  • Pass or veto: weighted For > Against (Abstain does not break ties)
  • That majority must hold 24 hours unchanged — then auto-payout or veto
  • Poll may stay open up to 30 days

How weighted tallies work

  • Each ballot uses your current share % as vote weight
  • Site and Discord #voting text (or the site form) count the same weight — buttons retired; Ava seeds ✅/❌/➖ at open
  • You may change your vote until the poll closes (grant clock resets if majority direction flips)
  • Listing-site Gold rewards (1–20 G) are separate from governance power

How voting power works

Each eligible voter holds a share of 100% — all shares sum to exactly 100%.

raw = ec_vote_shard_count × vote_multiplier share = raw ÷ Σ(all raw) → % of 100%

Weight comes from Vote Shards in double /ec (merge with /voteshard merge). Listing votes mint +1 shard weight on that server. Pay to steer: Pro ×2, Lifetime ×3, Pro+Lifetime ×5. Playtime does not multiply. Ava Ivy holds a locked seat at 25% of total share (one-third the sum of every other voter) and auto-votes for on open. Net worth does not affect Council weight.
